How to Reset Kodi – Factory Reset Kodi on Fire Stick and Fire TV

Every now and again it may become necessary to reset the Kodi app. Whether this is to delete a build that is no longer working or to solve other issues, you can use these steps to restore Kodi back to its factory settings, meaning all of your settings and Add-ons will be deleted.

If there is nothing wrong with your Kodi install and you're just looking to try a new build or something of that nature, we recommend backing up your current Kodi installation in case you want to restore it later. That process that is explained in the video below. This is essentially the same method you would use to copy your Kodi installation to another Fire Stick, Fire TV, or just about any other device you can install Kodi on.

How to rest Kodi to Factory Settings on Fire Stick and Fire TV

  1. From the home menu, navigate to Settings>Manage Applications
  2. You will see a list of all applications installed on your Fire Stick or Fire TV
  3. Scroll down the list until you come across Kodi. Select it.
  4. Select Clear data.  Confirm that you would like to clear App Data.
