Many of the Kodi add-ons we cover are developed by third parties, and not necessarily condoned by Kodi itself. To reduce their liability of copyright infringement, Kodi’s default setting does not allow you to install these extensions, but it is an easy setting to change by following these steps:
How to Enable Unknown Sources On Kodi
- From Kodi’s main menu, click on Settings (gear icon).
- Select System Settings
- Select Add-ons
- You will see the option to Turn on Unknown Sources. Set this to “ON”.
- Click Yes on the disclaimer message that pops up
You can now install 3rd party add-ons to Kodi.
If you are interested in using these add-ons, we recommend using a VPN for privacy and security.
